Halloween pictures

George in really super hideous outfit. I do not like the super ugly mask.
That mask had better stay in the back of the garage until next halloween.

I also love my cute pumpkin. George put hella effort into his pumpkin. He made the stencil, then used a marks a lot to color it in. Then he used a razor to make precise edges on the pumpkin. Then he finally cut it out with the pumpkin carver. Mine was so much easier, but still lots of work for me.

I am going to have nightmares of George. We didn't have many trick or treaters though.
There was a really cute Winnie the pooh. George luckily didn't come to the door for that one. But a poor brave kid dressed as dracula couldn't stop staring at George as he got his candy. It looked like he forgot about the candy for a second and forgot to say trick or treat. Then there were these really rowdy girls who were about 12 or 13. We also had a really creative group that dressed up as this prehistoric creature with a horse. They seemed to have made their own costumes. Anyways I am now doing laundry as I wait to see if anyone else shows up.

Carving Pumpkins

So we are taking a break from cleaning now. We are now actually making a bigger mess, carving pumpkins. I gave my pumpkin a surprised look, and George is going for a very mean fu man shoo look. Then we are eating pizza and hoping for lots of kids to come by. Its still not dark yet though.

Happy Halloween!

Books

We got all the books for the centerpieces at Rasputins. Most of the books were $3 but we got a couple $1 and a couple $5 buck ones. I also had a few at home. So we have enough for all the tables. I bought 2books at the store and had 8 books at home. I figure we stack two books on each table and tie them together with a bow burgundy bow. Then we can scatter silver and red kisses on the tables.

So here is what we have done
1) guest list
2) mailing labels
3) hotel reserved
4) centerpieces (books)
5) cake
6) attire
7) picked photographer

Here is what we still need to do
1) finish paying hall, photographer
2) mail out all invitations
3) have dress fitted
4) pick out item for groomsmen to wear (prolly just at tie)
5) get bows and kisses
6) maybe get disposable cameras for each table.

Shocked

I still can't believe we found the checkbooks. I thought I would never see them again. I also can't believe we found the charger for our camera. Its amazing!

Newest Pleasures and more!

So we picked out a wedding cake today:) I couldn't go for the cake I originally wanted. Because it would have cost us about $550 extra. So yeah, that wasn't happening. But we found a great buttercream design that will be fantastic. The flowers will be in burgundy with silver centers on an ivory cake. The inside of the cake is even better. Chocolate and mouse on the bottom tier, some white cake with chocolate on the center tier, and a mint chocolate on the top. My favorite is the chocolate mouse.

kinda like this.
I'm also thinking of these sea bears as the cake topper. But I don't know if I want them in a shell or just sitting there.
I think they actually look better without the shell or the log. Just the sea bears with maybe the girl in a veil and a necklace and the guy with the top hat.

Also here is my new favorite diamond solitaire. I just like the way the setting is.

This is from a seller on ebay called Ideal Diamonds. Not that I don't love my engagement ring. I do! I just always wanted a solitaire. Which can be more comfortable to wear than my engagement ring. I also find that I tend to change out my rings. The only ring I really consistently wear is my wedding band.
Anyways this diamond would look great on a james allen solitaire setting. www.jamesallen.com
This way it can be worn with solitaire enhancers. I also like the setting in the picture.

Also for the reception, I am considering either wearing diamond studs with a simple diamond stud drop necklace with my headband.
Or some big chandelier earrings with no necklace

This picture is a bit blurry, but part of these earrings kinda look like leaves.

Also I was at Lane Bryant with my friend the other day. I saw this really cute top there. Most of the time I just kinda like things, but this top was really cute.
black with these tiny bows on top. I dont know if it would look good on me, but I liked it on the bust.

Decisions decisions

So today I am going to do some cleaning. I will start with the bedroom and then go into the kitchen because dishes badly need to be washed. I'll bring stuff out to the living room to be stored away and grab garbage bags to fill with stuff we don't need.

As for the cake I have come to a decisions. It will not be topsy turvy (I don't think the other things would look as good on a topsy turvy cake). The top and bottom tiers will be burgundy with a quilted pattern. Silver dots will be placed between the quilts and a few scattered stephanotis flowers in ivory with silver centers will be placed on the two tiers. The center tier will be completely covered with stephanotis flowers in ivory with silver centers. The bottom tier will have these flowers as a bottom trim. I am not sure about the cake topper yet, I may want some more of the little flowers with a butterfly perched on the cake. I am not sure about the butterfly.

Things I go back to wanting again and again

Solitaire ring

This one is a radiant cut.  But I also like the cushion cut and princess cut when it comes to solitaires.
Coach ladybug green bag. This one in particular.
I would be really happy if I ever found it on ebay.
Comfort fit flush mount diamond band

I love this because the diamonds don't get in the way. Plus it is comfort fit so it would feel really nice on my finger. This would be great stacked with my plain wedding band or with the solitaire.

Channel set princess cut diamond band
I just like the look of this.

Shoes that remind me of Marie Antoinette

round and baguette diamond band to match my engagement ring

a old fashioned corset dress

A great birkin bag

and of course a big home with a really nice big closet and my own bathroom:)
(Couldn't find a picture for that)

My vision for cake

is being shot down by George!!!
I am kinda pissed.

What I wanted.
a mix of
1) topsy turvy

2) Stephanotis flowers

more like this with the flowers completely covering the middle and scattered on the top and bottom tier. However instead of the bow at the bottom, I would want a row of the flowers.
Here is another stephanotis cake

3) Quilt detailing
The quilt detail would be done on the top and bottom smooth tiers with little silver dots between and perhaps a flower or two scattered between the quilts.

I have not figured out the coloring completely. Either the cake will be completely ivory with the flower and dot detailing in silver.

Or

The top and bottom quilted tiers would be in burgundy with scattered ivory and silver flowers. The center portion would be either ivory or silver.

Here is another quilted cake.

I might be willing to let go of the topsy turvy idea if I feel like the cake won't look good that way. But I really prefer to have it that way.

Probably earrings

I think I may choose these earrings with a simple pear shaped drop necklace. Or I might just give up and do no necklace at all. I will be wearing a wrap, so it might be ok.

prolly the costume I will end up with

Wizard or eskimo
They would both fit me. Prolly the only reason why I would be them.

But the great thing about these costumes. If I wear tights with them, I won't be freezing to death!
Plus I love the cute tassle thing on the hood of the wizard costume. This nice thing is that this store is more body friendly toward people like me. An XL fits up a size 18. Which I think Im a 16 or so.
I would have to get the XL version

Keep in mind, I wont necessarily look like these models. The eskimo costume is a plus size costume because the idiots think an XL is up to a 40 inch boob. Yeah right! I could prolly only fit one boob in that. So I have to go to a smaller plus size in order to cram me in it. I would end up looking more like a stuffed sausage if I tried to squeeze into the regular size.

It really sucks though not having very many options. George likes the eskimo costume. My only concern is those style skirts that are really short don't really look that great on me. Because of my chest if I have a skirt that is also voluminous, I end up looking more skanky than cute. I think that for the wizard costume, at least I could look more normal. But I do love the eskimo boot covers.

favors!

So I just went back and looked at my sisters comment for my stacked book idea. She mentioned that I should have silver and red kiss chocolates scattered on and around the books. I think its an awesome Idea! I have been debating on having either edible or cardholder wedding favors. I really wanted cute card holders but loved the idea of guests being able to snack a little before their meals. Reading my sisters post, I decided that I'll go with the card holder idea because they can snack on the chocolates.

So here are some of my favorites
1)

Other hair looks and accessories

So I have been thinking about some hairstyles that would look good for the reception and new years eve.
My top favorite hair accessories right now are
1) the leaf type headband in the post before this one. paired with a half up half down look with big waves at the ends of my hair.
So the end result looks somewhat like these pictures (two below)

except more of my hair would be pulled back (like the pictures below) also the headband would be the leaf one and not these ribbon styles.

2) hairpins like this one by tigerlily

They would be scattered in the curls like above. However I think Id do tighter curls like this, if I choose to wear pins.
3) Veil like hair flower.
I really like this modern take on the veil. Its very sassy and pretty. The only problem is, I don't know how it would look on my head. It might look funny on me. I like it how it is shown in this picture. But I would prolly wear it with my hair similar to the princess styles above. Only I would leave my hair straighter.

Finally I love this straight look. I prolly will do something like this for the new years party.

another gorgeous dress (edited)

This one by the same designer of my reception gown
Cymbelline Cordelia I think

also I am seriously considering this headpiece. Just dont know what kind of jewelry to wear with it.
