This kit includes pretty much everything I want to try out.
I tested the mascara and the illuminizer at Sephora and they were awesome. I tried out the color stick too, it was ok but works really well when combined with the stila convertible color. The reason for this is that the convertible color stick is more smooth, but the stila has a better color,  blended together it makes a great blush. The mascara really made my lashes look long.

Argon oil: this is used for all over hte body and even including the hair. I see myself using this mostly on my hair and face.

Lip balm: I can always use more balms.

eyeshadow/liner stick: I am not sure about this item. i think it would prolly be a good travel item, but I dont really go on vacation very often.

Cannot sleep and updated review on products

So I am watching Criminal Minds and writing this post. I went to work today and had the tax course yesterday. I think the tax thing might actually be helpful, but I am nervous about volunteering. Just feeling a little out of my comfort zone. I am working all week this week and am looking forward to creating a regular work routine for myself.

I also tried out some of the products that I was interested in before.

Mally lip blush: definitely long wearing. However, the peach is more of a orangey color and is super bright, even when worn under another color. It is also a little drying. The best thing is that when it fades away, it fades evenly. One big problem with stains is that when it fades it sinks into certain parts of the lips, so some portions have color and some do not.

It cosmetics lip vitality: great treatment lipstick. It does not really feel much like a stain. It also does not really last. The color is great.

Tarte lash liner and mascara: Both are only ok. The liner does not apply easily but after several coats it is very pretty. A better one is Stila Sparkle Waterproof liquid liner in Sequins.

Also the Tarte Mascara is ok when it is fresh and less dry. It might be great for someone with a lot naturally long and thick lashes (people who don't really need lashes) but for someone with sparse and short lashes, it doesnt really work. so far only buxom and clinique have really been good for my lashes. But I also tried the peter thomas roth mascara that seemed really good. the strange thing is that when i mascara up my bottom lashes it seems to make more of a difference than doing my upper lashes. (weird)

So I am definitely beginning to feel better.

Not looking forward to the weekend though. I have to do the tax prep course tomorrow from 9am-5pm. Then I have to work on Sunday from 9am-3pm. I still have to do int accounting homework too. I did read the chapter but I have to go over it again. I have decided to relax and watch a movie now and then sleep. I am watching trick or treat.

I am also kind of pissed at George and the Cat. He let the cat out (prolly while smoking) and the cat went under the house. It is now raining hard and the cat is afraid to out from under the house. He is totally dirty and won't come back in. There is no way I am going to be the one to wash the cat (he needs to be washed now). Of course he is not going to be happy about that.

Also, I think I am getting a rash from trying to go under the house.

I did see these Jeggings online and kinda like how they look. I wish they had them in bootcut too.

7 for all mankind stretch boocut new york dark wash in short.

I really like these, they are slightly less dark then the normal dark wash that I wear. Also I love these jeans because they are super soft. I cannot stand the heavier stratchy denim. Plus they have shorter lengths.

comments: this looks like the perfect base shade or stand alone shadow. Plus it comes with a brush.

comments: The next generation of lip stain. This has the staying power of a stain but doesnt have the flaws. I hope this is true because I have been in search of a long wearing lip color forever. I only wish that it came with a balm on the other end instead of gloss. Plus I am hoping the color is good because usually stains are too berry, too brown, too red, or simply too bright.

 

Tarte kaleidoscope black eyeliner and 4 in 1 lights camera action mascara.

comments: the mascara gets mixed reviews. I love the packaging but have yet to try the mascara.

The Makeup forever color is definitely more of a brownish purply red vs the bright red. It also has more of a sheen to it than the MAC one. Russian red is more of a matte bright red color. Honestly I do think the makeup forever shade looks better on me. Unfortunately its discontinued so I have to stick to my old one and make it last.

 Tycoon ring stack set. The center ring of this is the closest simulated version I could find that looks like the blue nile ring. I still like the blue nile one better.

At the cheesecake factory. I was still sick but starting to improve. Seeing the girls helped me not feel so depressed, but I was totally not ready to go out because I got really sick when I got home.

Just finished watching this movie. I have waited a long time and finally just decided to rent it on demand. Loved Meg Ryan in this movie and actually really liked the guy who plays monk
(tony shalouba, I am sure I spelled his name wrong) in this movie too.

Rate the balms and under 1 minute makeup look

I decided to do this post because I am pretty much a lip balm junkie. I have at least one with me at all times. this is probably why I end up losing them so much. I tend to keep cheaper ones on me because of me losing them all the time. I keep my more expensive ones at home.


1. chapstick classic
Pros: heals lips and makes my lips feel very smooth. Its cheap!
Cons: Smells mediciney and tastes that way too.

2. Clarins hydraquench
I love the old version of this. it has a great goldish color which makes me feel like I am putting gold on my lips. My lips get ultra hydrated and glossy without being sticky. Unfortunately I think they discontinued it or just changed the formula and packaging.

Pros: Smells great, and leaves lips very supple. A little goes a long way.
Cons: I wish it was in a stick version so I don't accidentally squeeze out too much. Big price tag. Its normally over 20 bucks but you can find it on ebay for about 15.

3. sara happ lip slip
Pros: a little goes a long way. the tub is huge. There are tiny little sparkles in it that show a little on the lips. It also stays on the lips for a long time. I can go to sleep with it and wake up with it still on. I tend to keep this one by my bed because of the super moisturizing properties.

Cons: price, and its a little sticky.

4. dior creme de rose lip balm
Pros: smells great, soft lips. (I think this is my favorite stuff, I put it on every time I go into sephora)
Cons: huge price tag (which is why I haven't purchased it yet)

5. Sugar passion tinted lip balm
Pros: stick packaging, soft lips, hint of color.
Cons: price

6. kiss philosophy
Pros: color, pretty lips
Cons: price, taste, smell

 

MAKE UP LOOK UNDER 1 MINUTE

1. wash and moisturize face (brush teeth after this step so that the moisturizer has time to set in)

2. use lip balm (either dior creme de rose or clarins)

3. stila convertible lip and cheek color in poppy (apply to lips and cheeks)

4. Clinique sunny disposition (apply to eyes and over blush on cheeks)

5. Line and fill in lips with nutmeg lip liner

6. use dior lip glow on lips and blend in lip liner

7. Line eyes with brown pencil eyeliner and smudge the liner

8. apply dior lip maximizer on lips

9. Apply clinique (i like to use this mascara because of the small brush and its less intense)

10. bare escentuals mineral veil all over face (except for lips) 

Walaa all under 1 minute.
